Motorhome

Read our round-up of some of the biggest brands and newest motorhomes to look forward to in 2021/2022. Whether you’re looking for a cool, continental Chausson or an awesome Adria, we’ve found a motorhome just right for you.

Adria Coral Supreme 670 DL

£74,895

One of Europe’s largest motorhome manufacturers, this Slovenia-based company produces a remarkably broad range of motorhomes. Adria’s superb Coral range is made up of 16 varied layouts for 2021, that sleep between three and six people. All boast a sleek exterior profile and luxurious interiors. Not to mention the exclusive and very stunning sky-roof and sky-lounge.  It’s easy to see why Adria calls it ‘atrium-style living’ for couples. The amount of natural light flooding into the vehicle adds an amazing feeling of space, with ample shading and ventilation, too.

Auto-Trail F-Line F74

£52,859

A popular British brand, Auto-Trail offers a range of small to large motorhomes. The low-profile, coachbuilt F74 is part of the brand-new F-Line range and offers four berths and lots of space for a family. Built on the EcoBlue Ford Transit camper specific chassis, the F74 has a 130bhp engine and measures 7.32m in length.

With a sleek and aerodynamic low profile, a gorgeous panoramic roof skylight and numerous practical features, you’re sure of a comfortable trip away. As an optional extra you can include a half dinette and the popular electronic drop-down double bed. Very welcome after a long day on the road.

Carado T459 Clever+ Edition

£53,190

For those in the know, the German Carado brand has long impressed with their budget-friendly models and sturdy build quality. But with the stylish new four-berth T459 Clever+ Edition, Carado has eradicated even the slightest hint of entry-level.

On the 7.4m exterior you’ll find a stylish aluminium grey metallic Fiat cab, 16-inch alloy wheels, an awning and bike rack, along with stylish flush-fit framed habitation windows.

Inside, it’s the new island bed layout of the range-topping T459 that’ll grab your attention. It’s Carado’s first side settee lounge and feels very spacious indeed. There’s also an optional over lounge drop-down double bed. The facilities on board are excellent, including separate shower and washroom areas, kitchen, and lots of storage.

If you’re looking for a cheaper option then the two berth T135 comes with a fixed bed and is under 6m.

Chausson 644 First Line

£48,940

As one of the best-selling European motorhome brands in the UK, if you buy one of the French firm’s low-profile motorhomes, you’ll be sure to be pleased. First Line is the most affordable of the three levels of specification that Chausson is offering for 2021.

However, don’t let that fool you. Based on the Ford Transit, the 644 First Line has a long list of essential features as standard. These include panoramic skylight, atmosphere LED lighting, cab air-conditioning, swivel seats with double armrests and height adjustment, cruise control, interior cab isothermal shutters, and Technibox.

The sub-7m, compact 644 also sports a new layout. It has superb face-to-face Smartlounge seating, which accommodates five passengers as standard. In the back you’ll find a good-sized bed with generous garage storage underneath. It’s also possible to add a second electric drop-down double bed up front.

For yet more features and sophistication take a look at the Chausson 644 Titanium VIP or the 644 Titanium Premium. Although prepare to see the price rise!

Elddis Compass Avantgarde 185

£51,969

Perennial best sellers, the Elddis range all provide a great entry point for motorhome owners looking to get serious about touring. While the Compass Avantgarde offers a choice of six layouts, varying from two to six berths, we’ve plumped for the four-berth option here.

Measuring over 7m in length this is a great option for families as it provides the luxury of fixed single beds, a luxurious rear bathroom and lots of lounging space. There’s additional fold-out travel seats so four can travel in complete safety.

The 185 also offers outstanding drive performance, a high level of craftsmanship on the interiors, and CompleteHeat Whale 4.7 kW Dual-fuel space-saving heating. What an excellent combination!

Pilote P626D Evidence

£62,500

Ultra-compact, low-profile models are proving very popular among buyers who might previously have opted for a van conversion. And the 6.2m P626D is French manufacturer Pilote’s addition to the marketplace.

It’s easy to see why motorhomes with a large front lounge and the main bed lowering from above are sought-after. Looking around this example you’ll be struck by the huge face-to-face lounge with seating for seven people! What a great space for entertaining when out on the road.

Not only that, but you’ll also find a 140bhp Fiat Ducato engine, nine-speed automatic gearbox, awning, Skydome sunroof, faux leather upholstery, a smart kitchen and a cleverly designed, bright bathroom. Everything a discerning motorhome buyer could want! Just make sure you’ve got the right motorhome insurance to protect it.

Rapido C56

£57,500

Yet another brilliant French manufacturer, the firm from Mayenne has launched a brand-new range of slimline, low-profile motorhomes with Fiat chassis. Known as the C Series we’ve opted for the ultimate compact model the C56.

At just 5.99m long, the C56 3-birth offers a corner double bed layout, and an L-shaped bench seat in the lounge. An interesting feature is a clever slide-out extension you can fit to the corner of the bed. So, at night the bed is properly rectangular in shape. There’s also a single bed in the lounge area.

Above the cab can be found a very large, glass Skyview panoramic roof light that adds to the feeling of spaciousness inside. No mean feat when you consider the dimensions of this diminutive motorhome.

Included as standard on UK models are a heated waste water tank, outside shower with hot and cold water, removable carpets, and a 23-litre oven with grill. In the Fiat Ducato cab can be found Traction+ with Hill Descent Control, and a leather steering wheel with radio controls. If you opt for the Select Pack (an additional £1,790) you’ll receive a rear-view camera with night vision, DAB ALPINE multimedia system, ESC with Anti Slip Regulation, height-adjustable cab seats, and cab window roller blinds.

It’s a perfect model for those looking to downsize to a smaller vehicle as it still contains many of the comforts of larger models.

Roller Team Zefiro 665

£48,445

Measuring just 6.41m long this is a beautifully compact, low-profile motorhome from this family-focused Italian manufacturer. This Ford Transit-based, four-berth vehicle really does tick a lot of boxes in our opinion. With an exterior cab in silver, a substantial sunroof above, and great looking external graphics you’ll be the envy of other tourers.

Inside has a cool and calm monochrome look, while the 2.15m by 1.33m rear bed is perfect for taller campers. There’s also an electric drop-down bed over the front lounge, solar panel, reversing camera, and 6kW gas/electric heating.

Oh, and did we mention it’s got a preinstalled bike carrier as standard?

Sunlight Standard Edition T69LC

£50,599

Despite their very reasonable price, the German-made Sunlight Standard Edition is anything but entry level. New for 2021 is this low-profile model with an island bed perfect for couples and occasional visitors. The range topping T69 model comes in three different versions including this one and is 7.4m in length. It features striking looks and a Smart Lounge with twin facing sofas, which also convert into two extra travel seats. You can also opt for an additional drop-down bed.

Swift Edge 466

£53,420

Britain’s largest leisure vehicle manufacturer offers great entry level motorhomes. While the Swift Edge offers five different layouts to choose from, the 466 includes a new family-friendly bunk bed layout. Measuring 7.32m, the 466 can sleep a family of six! It also boasts an excellent level of standard equipment sure to inspire a new generation of adventurers. Further enhancements can be made with options such as the rather cool-looking Black Edition upgrade with 16-inch alloys.
